MECHANICAL CMM TECHNICIAN
Pegbox is working with a UK based Formula 1 team which is investing heavily in many areas of the business to compete at the very top, including their talent pool. As part of that development, they are looking to recruit a CMM Inspector to join their Mechanical Inspection Team
JOB SCOPE:
The CMM Inspector will be responsible for the comprehensive quality Inspection of complex metallic parts, components and assemblies manufactured in the team’s machine shop and assembly department.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES:
The CMM INSPECTOR’s main responsibilities will include:
- Carrying out detailed inspections at all stages of the development and manufacturing of the complex parts and assemblies. This can be at prototyping and first-off, final inspection as well as in part-manufactured phase.
- Using PCDMIS software to write CMM Programmes offline and online
- Using Romer / Faro arm scanning using Polyworks software
- Ensuring the highest quality components by working closely with the design and manufacturing departments as well as suppliers
CANDIDATE PROFILE
The successful candidate will be a subject matter expert with a proven track record carrying out the above responsibilities, ideally within Motorsport, or another high precision sector with low volume, high value complex components and assemblies. This is a critical role and will require someone who is able to work at pace and under pressure and regularly changing environment. The CMM inspector will also need to be someone who can develop and maintain positive and productive relationships to work toward the success of the team.
