Production Supervisor – FMCG

An exciting opportunity for a Production Supervisor to support and work in a manufacturing facility based on Mid-Devon near Honiton.

This role will involve working closely with the Production Manager and the Production Team to help ensure the smooth running of production within the company.

Role & Responsibilities:

Receive production plans from production manager and the delegation of production tasks to line leaders, and ensures proper staffing for all tasks
Coaches line leaders on set up processes and procedures to ensure that SOPs are followed
Ensures workstations are setup for each production activity in a manner that correlates with production targets.
Oversee the production process
Monitors daily production performance records, identifying inefficiencies and taking responsive and corrective actions where necessary assisting in all aspects on the production areas.
Ensure production meets standards with the highest level of quality
Leads by example: Set expectations for staff and monitors delegated activities
Setting daily/weekly/monthly objectives and communicating them to employees
Provide regular performance feedback and effective training to staff for skill development and growth
Shares recommendations for improvements to safety, equipment, and/or SOPs with a Continuous Improvement approach
Demonstrates leadership during adoption of new processes continually works to identify opportunities to gain efficiency and improve quality in production
Implement company policies and goals and ensure that health and food safety guidelines are followed
Conduct daily Team briefing sessions with your team
Using a safety-first approach, make sure workers meet and surpass company objectives regarding production output, quality, and safety
Ensures equipment in the area assigned is in working order and that working conditions are safe at all times
Assisting employees with troubleshooting problems and coaching them through making the correct adjustments / decisions
Resolves problems by analysing data, investigating issues, identifying solutions, and recommending actions
Hire, train, develop, motivate, and periodically do performance evaluations on Production employees

Experience Required

Leading teams
Production Leadership experience, either as a supervisor or team leader
Excellent written and Verbal Skills
Excellent organisational skills
