Quality Engineer
Pegbox is recruiting for a Quality Engineer on behalf of a world class Composite Manufacturing client.
Our client operates in F1, Motorsport, Supercars, Special Projects and more. Ideally, you will have experience gained in some or all of these sectors.
They are a well-established company which has enjoyed strong growth in 2024 and is predicted to continue that trend in 2025. As a result, they are growing their Quality Department and are looking for a Quality Engineer to join this team on a permanent basis.
If you are successful in your application, you will be required to ensure the company’s procedures are adhered to at all times. This in accordance with the Quality Management Systems, respecting Health & Safety Policies, and any other customer specific requests whilst ensuring timely delivery of finished products.
Some of the Key responsibilities you will have in this role include:
- You will carry out, record and report any Visual and/or Dimensional Inspection of:
- incoming Tooling such as Patterns, Moulds, Fixtures and Gauges
- Protypes and “First Off” samples prior to production
- Machined features on products
- You will assist in the Final Inspection and approval and release of Finished Products, which includes the approval of completed Works Orders
- You will need to compile all necessary documentation for First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRS) and PPAP’s
- In your role, you will also support the Quality Department with:
- the registration and closure of all Concession Requests to enable timely delivery of finished product
- the registration, issue, and control of important documents such as Work / Process Instructions, and Quality Care Points etc.
- Facilitating the company’s Calibration system
- Registering all customer concerns and communicate and manage timely Root Cause Analysis, Containment, Corrective and Preventative Actions to closure
- Perform appropriate QMS, Process and Product audits and manage timely corrective action to closure
- You will be expected to identify “Opportunities for Improvement” and implement appropriate corrective action / defect proofing techniques to prevent recurring quality issues
The person our client is looking for will:
- Have previous experience working as a Quality Engineer
- This experience will have been gained in a similar fast pace and high pressure environment, such as ideally, F1, Automotive, etc.
- Have the resilience and ability to deliver to deadlines whilst under pressure
- Hold good planning and organisational skills
Core hours are from 8am to 4:30pm Monday-Friday, but you can expect regular needs for overtime, especially at certain times of year.
